So my Easter kinda stunk. I woke up with the stomach flu. I got the kids dressed and we all got in the van to go to Mass. We get there and Cadence was passed out. So Charlie took Gabriel in with him. David, Cadence and I slept in the van. She woke up just in time for us to make it in for Communion. We came straight home this time instead of hitting Taco Bell. We had a family dinner planned at Capone’s Hideaway. I’d been looking forward to it for months. When we got home, though, I crashed on the couch and couldn’t even help Charlie with the kids. He decided to take the older two without me to dinner. I stayed home with David. No sooner did they leave that I woke up and threw up. (sorry, tmi) It was downhill from there. I was sick until Tuesday night. Today I felt much better, though. I took all three kids to the zoo. It went pretty well. I was a little upset that the zoo no longer gives free refills in the zoo cups that you can continously bring back. I guess the zoo is feeling the pinch, too. sigh. The kids enjoyed seeing the animals. (I have a few pics I can update as soon as I upload) When we got home the kids took a nap and then we all played outside for 1.5 hrs. Tomorrow starts Charlie’s “weekend” so we’ll do our grocery shopping and whatever other errands we need to do. Unfortunately we won’t be doing anything fun on Friday. I’m going to the doc to have some cysts removed on my head. YUCK.
Anyway, besides the yuckies this week, my life has gone pretty well lately. My house has been under control for three weeks (just don’t look today because I’m still on clean up from 3 days of being sick), we’re starting to organize and I feel more present in the kids’ lives. I’m trying to be more concious of where I spend and on what. And I love my kids. David couldn’t be any easier. It’s like he’s always been here. We have finally gotten down a bedtime routine and the majority of the time all 3 kids are down between 7:30-8pm. (Unfortunately they all wake up between 6:30-7am.)
Well since I’m still recovering, other things are going on and it’s been a long outside day, I’m beat. I’m signing off for tonight. Hopefully to be more active in writing. (Don’t forget to check out my weight loss journey on the weight loss page)
